Our story
The gap between what companies say and what the supply chain shows is where our work lives.
SemiAnalysis exists to close the information gap around the world’s most important industry. Semiconductor and AI decisions now move hundreds of billions of dollars a year, and the public record behind them is thin. We fill that gap with primary research: supply chain tracking, fab and datacenter monitoring, and time on conference floors, not vendor guidance retold.
The work spans a newsletter read by more than 180,000 subscribers, institutional data models that track the supply chain SKU by SKU, and consulting for organizations working a specific question. Each feeds the others: what we learn in the field sharpens the models, and what the models surface directs the next round of field work.
- Product first
- Technology and trends are analyzed from the product outward, then mapped to the companies around them. No firm is viewed in isolation.
- In the field
- The team attends more than 40 industry conferences a year and engages the stack at every level of abstraction, from lithography physics to model training runs.
- The flywheel
- Semiconductors and AI form one intricate supply chain. Context from upstream makes the downstream call sharper, so findings loop back into every adjacent segment we cover.
